Commissions

Everything shown on my website is just to give you an idea of the possibilities.
If my style is to your liking but you have another wish, another idea, for example a CD booklet,
postcards or a calendar, don’t hesitate to email me.
We can always exchange our thoughts to come to an agreement.

Ordering a commissioned Fantasy Portrait

All I need is your idea, your wishes and how you would like to have yourself portrayed. I also need some photographs of you. One exactly showing me the pose you desire, and some showing a detailed image of your face. Any additional information about your personality would even give me a better idea how to make the best possible image of you.

Ordering a commissioned Animal Portrait

Basic requirements for a detailed portrait of your pet are some well taken photographs. One showing me the exact pose and some additional ones to get the details right. A good character description of the animal can always inspire me to make a nice background to enhance the picture.

What are the costs?

The following example gives you an indication of price, a fixed price can only be determined after the details have been provided.

A standard size portrait of 30 x 40 cm. will cost 250 euros.
Passepartout and frame are included. (wooden frame - light or dark)
The portraits are made on fine quality paper, at least 180 gr./ m2 with watercolours and colourpencils.

On request I can make you a larger sized portrait. Information about larger sizes and/or different proportions can be obtained through email.
I don't recommend smaller sizes because it's difficult to guarantee the same level of detail required for the best possible likeness.

Additional information

To confirm our agreement I have to ask you for a 50% downpayment.
If you wish, I can email you an image of the unfinished version of your portrait as I work on it.
Before shipment the full amount must have been payed.
A commissioned work is exclusive and will not be sold as a print to anyone but the customer.
I will reserve the right to publish it on my website or use it for promotional purposes unless you state a clear objection.

Ordering an original illustration

Some original portraits and fantasy drawings are for sale. This is indicated for the pictures in question. Prices on request through email.
In my archive are some originals for sale as well. You can find these catagorized in the folder: "Originals".

Ordering prints

A number of illustrations is availabe as a high quality photoprint (as indicated).
In my archive you can find several pictures that are available as photoprint as well. These are catagorized in the map: "Prints".

The following sizes are available (approximated, depends on original image dimensions):
30 x 40 cm. - 35 euro excl. shippingcosts
20 x 30 cm. - 25 euro excl. shippingcosts
Other sizes on request only.

Shipping costs

The costs depend on size and weight of the item. I use only the actual costs
as indicated by the postal service.

Payment

You can pay for your order in the following ways: 

• Payment in advance with (international) money transfer.
  I will send you the bank information through email.
• PayPal
  A 4% surcharge will be added to cover the costs of PayPal
